Update on Our Baby Elf Bird

All of the days are starting to blur together at this point, but I'll do my best to stay on track! Here's a rundown of Skyler's progress from the last day:

-Skyler is not under the "jaundice lights" anymore, but they will recheck her billirubin levels tonight to determine if she'll need to go back under them.
-She is still having some trouble sucking a bottle, so she is often fed with a tube that runs through her nose or mouth and into her stomach. She was spitting up a bit, which was cause for concern, but the doctors think it was due to the formula and now that my milk has come in, she is on breastmilk exclusively. Breast is best!
-The nurses usually try to have us feed her via the bottle 2x a day and if she's slow or doesn't take it from a bottle, we resort to the stomach tube thing. It tires her out to try to suck the bottle so we don't try it every time- just 2x a day.
-Sklyer is more alert today - the lights tend to make babies sleepy.
-STARTING TODAY, SKYLER CAN WEAR CLOTHES! YIPPEE. She is so tiny, but it is fun to find teeny tiny clothes for her, so we brought some over today and are using the "newborn" size that most people skip right over, as well as some Preemie outfits from Carter's. Hopefully she'll be into the newborn size soon.

More video coming soon!
